Harvested plastic and a pro skater create new Adidas shoe

Professional skater Lucas Puig spends a whole lot of time at the seashore. And whilst he’s there, he usually sees plastic squander on the sand and floating in the waves. Bottles, baggage, containers, lids…if you try to depend all the parts of plastic in your dwelling, it may well choose you hrs. Observing all this junk floating in the oceans is upsetting. Now, Adidas is carrying out some thing about it.

In partnership with Puig, Adidas has debuted its latest shoes. This is the Puig PK Primeblue style. Manufactured in aspect with Parley ocean plastic, this shoe was influenced by Puig’s daily life in his hometown. He’s from Biarritz, France, a coastal town that offers him a front-row seat to the destruction that plastics are performing to the oceans.

“It’s a smaller but good matter that I can do when specified the possibility to create a shoe produced in portion with recycled resources,” explained Puig.

The Puig PK Primeblue has an all-white style and design which is created with a light-weight functionality upper designed with Primeknit technologies. This shoe is created, in component, with plastic waste taken from shorelines, coastal communities, islands and beach locations. In its place of floating off into the ocean, that plastic waste is remaining put into these shoes.
