Glowing Wishing Pavilion is made with 5,000 recycled plastic bricks

To rejoice the Mid-Autumn Competition of 2019, Hong Kong-dependent studio Daydreamers Style crafted a glowing lantern-inspired pavilion that also raises consciousness of environmental troubles. Dubbed the Wishing Pavilion, the temporary set up was produced from 5,000 bricks built of recycled higher-density polyethylene, the identical form of plastic normally employed in water bottles. The pavilion’s lantern-like condition references two Mid-Autumn Festival traditions: releasing candle-lit lanterns with people’s wishes published on the sides into the evening sky and burning tall, purpose-constructed buildings for fantastic luck and good harvests.
